On Thanksgiving Sunday, Street Hope Victoria was highlighted and celebrated by the community of St. Phillip's Anglican Church, in Victoria, B.C. Like a food drive, the congregation was encouraged to bring items to donate and support the work that Street Hope does in the area. The Thanksgiving season is a wonderful reminder to be thankful for the many blessings we have, and what better way to say "thanks" than to rally behind others who need a helping hand.
The Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend, the Street Hope Outreach Motor Home was parked in the St. Philip's lot, while the community and congregation worked to "Cram the Van" with food and items to bless people living on the streets of Victoria. Non-persihable food items, clothing, blankets, sleeping bags, and personal-hygiene items were donated to Street Hope Victoria to help them continue their ministry on the streets.
"I found it very encouraging" commented Rob Hosie, longtime Street Hope Victoria volunteer.
