Brad Jersak Seminar: A More Christlike God

In March Threshold School of Ministry invited author and teacher Brad Jersak, PhD, to lead a seminar about what God is like. Brad explored various backgrounds and contexts which form our view of God, but ultimately argued that God has always been and forever will be ‘cruciform’ (cross-shaped) in his character and actions. A More Christlike God suggests that such a God would be very good news indeed—a God who Jesus “unwrathed” from dead religion, a Love that is always toward us, and a Grace that pours into this suffering world through willing, human partners.

From Abbotsford, BC, Brad attends Fresh Wind Christian Fellowship and serves as Reader at All Saints of North America Monastery. His heart is to share the good news that God is Love and that God’s love was shown to us perfectly in Jesus of Nazareth, and through this seminar, he did just that.
Thanks to all who participated in this event and made it such a wonderful Saturday of fellowship and learning. Additional thanks goes to Stone Church for letting TSoM use your building!
