Prayer Calendar
You are invited to participate in the ministry of Threshold Ministries by praying for those who are serving the Lord from coast to coast to coast in Canada, and around the world. Your prayers are a great encouragement to all.
But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

FEBRUARY 2012
- Reed Fleming (Linda), Saint John NB, is launching a new program today - “In Recovery: Following Jesus”. Pray for those who will gather on Wednesday afternoons this month to get the resources they need to remain addiction-free. Remember also those leading with Reed.
- Today, we celebrate and give God praise for 83 years of ministry. Give thanks for the many lives that have been transformed by the Gospel through this ministry and pray for many more years of fruitful ministry in Canada.
Focus: Retired
- Grahme Spear (Shirley), Carmen MB, has settled nicely into life and community near family. Pray for opportunities for ministry in Carmen. Pray God’s continued blessing on Grahme and Shirley and give thanks for opportunities that mission that have called them back to The Pas MB periodically.
- Reg & Sandy McDonald, Lunenburg NS, are active in their community. Reg gives thanks for the opportunities in different churches in the community for preaching and ministry. Pray that they will continuously be prepared for opportunities that come in their path.
- Hugh Bateman (Lois), Shediac NB, continues to offer his time at St Martin’s in-the-Woods. Give thanks for Hugh’s creativity and gifts in theatre and the ways that he is able to communicate the Gospel through this method.
- Terry Buckle (Blanche), Whitehorse YT, remains an active part of the leadership in the parish and is working towards developing a Street Hope ministry in the community. Give thanks for his leadership and pray for clarity for the vision and plans ahead.
- Walter Marshall (Lois), Mississauga ON, is grateful for the healing ministry that he is part of at St Luke’s. Don Paterson (Ethel), Oakville ON, gives thanks the fellowship opportunities and mentoring. Give thanks for these Godly men and the example that they have set.
- The Annual General Meeting is taking place tonight. Pray for God’s blessing and anointing on this meeting. Give thanks for the year that passed and the many opportunities that have been received.
- David Lajeunesse (Yvonne), Nepean ON, remains active in caring for several congregations. Art Nash (Emily), Halifax NS, continues to mentor and support the leaders in Halifax. Pray for continued refreshing on these men as they continue to give and serve. Give thanks for these opportunities.
- Wally Stuckless (Noreen), Willowdale ON, and Kathy Hutchinson, Edmonton AB, are thankful as they reflect back on many years of coming alongside those in need. Pray that the seeds that have been planted continue to produce much fruit.
- Earl Burke (Karen), Sault Ste Marie ON, and Rosemary Bailey (Greg), Markham ON give thanks for their continued involvement in ministry. Pray for continued opportunities for growth and service.
- Charles Smart (Linden), Fredericton NB, offers his time and pastoral gifts in ministry, as he settles into retired life. Pray God’s blessing on Charlie and Linden as they pray and intercede for many.
- David Bloom (Phyllis), Kenora ON, and Wally Corey (Lynn), Saint John NB, are busy in their churches. Pray that their ministry will continue to cause great impact for the Kingdom in their areas. Give thanks for their willingness to continue giving as they are able.
- Pray for those considering a vocation with Threshold Ministries. Pray for many more to offer themselves in service and ministry.
- Give thanks for each financial gift that sustains the current work and helps prepare for new opportunities.
Focus: National Office
- Pray for Shauna Hooper, Administration. Give thanks her talent and commitment to this ministry. Shauna keeps everyone at the office organized. Pray she will be refreshed in her work and see the fruit of her labours.
- Pray for Mike Hughes (Joanne), Accountant. Give thanks for the careful detail and wisdom that is required to oversee and manage the financial components of this ministry. Pray for a continued outpouring of the financial resources for the future.
- Remember Amy Stewart (Jordan), Communications. Give thanks for her creativity and her talent in promoting this ministry and communicating with supporters. Pray for clarity in communicating and for wisdom in using various methods to promote Threshold.
- Jacqueline Ervin-Yeomans (Greg), Fundraising, looks forward to the success of many new fundraising efforts. Remember Jacqueline has seeks out donors and sources of funding for new ministry opportunities across the country.
- Give thanks for Bruce Smith (Carol) and his leadership. Continue to pray for refreshment during his sabbatical. Pray that the reading and resting will be nourishment for the mind and the body.
- Remember Shawn Branch (Hilary) as he serves as Acting National Director. Pray that he will be granted with discernment and vision as he leads. Pray that 2012 will see opportunities for equipping and teaching across the country.
- God of compassion, through your Son Jesus Christ you reconciled your people to yourself. Following His example of prayer and fasting, may we obey you with willing hearts and serve one another in holy love; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Focus: Board of Directors
- Give thanks for leadership and wisdom of John Irwin (Eleanor), Ian Grant (Kay) and Peter Bloom (Barbara). Pray God’s blessing on them as they assist in overseeing the operations of this ministry.
- Remember, Andrew Barker (Reina), Kathy Bell and Terry Buckle (Blanche). Give thanks for their wisdom and encouragement in casting the vision for Threshold.
Focus: Church Army International
- Pray for Mark Russell, UK & Ireland, and Phil Clark (Monica), New Zealand.
- Pray for Martin Mlaka, Malawi, and Martin Morgan (Catherine), Australia.
- Remember Michael Maxwell, Barbados, and Phyllis Thomas, Jamaica.
- Pray for Henry Bull, Fiji, and Ben Tosiro, Vanuatu, both in development stages.
- Pray for Church Army USA as they await the appointment of a new leader and discern their future.
