I am grateful for you, our donor and prayer warrior, as you continue to give generously and pray to see Threshold accomplish our mission. Our National Director, Jonathan Clarke has offered Christ-centered and timely leadership since 2018 and we are seeing God bless our projects across Canada. This past Fall, Jonathan shared with our board that he sensed God asking him to move into retirement. Our Board of Directors have been prayerfully working on a smooth and effective transition plan.

We are thankful for God’s provision and are delighted to announce that effective February 1, 2024, Rev. Debs Moyo will become the next National Director for Threshold Ministries. We are energized to see what God will continue to do through Rev. Moyo’s leadership. Jonathan wanted to share these words with you: “It has been my honour these last five years to watch our 10 projects from coast to coast serve people who are hurting and ignored to bring hope to dark situations. God is working through your generosity and our staff and volunteers to see our mission accomplished: To bring people from all walks of life into living relationships with Jesus and His people. As I reflect on my time as the National Director, I am reminded of God’s faithfulness, and I couldn’t be more excited for the future of Threshold Ministries.”

Rev. Debs Moyo is no stranger to Threshold Ministries as she has been serving as our Project Leader for Street Hope Victoria since October 2022. She was born and raised in the UK and is married to Mandla. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from the University of Nottingham and a Master of Arts in Theology from St. Mellitus College. She was ordained in the Church of England in 2018 and has a passion for seeing marginalised people restored and all others set free through a relationship with Jesus. She and Mandla love live music, hiking and being by the sea – so living in Victoria is a bit of a dream!

Debs shared with me, “It’s been such a joy to participate in the work of God through Threshold Ministries over this past year. I’ve been continually learning from those I encounter through Street Hope Victoria, people living on Pandora, volunteers, and supporters about what it means to love like Jesus did, it’s been humbling and challenging. It is a true privilege to hear the stories of God touching and transforming lives through his people across Canada who faithfully share the compassion, love and mercy of Jesus with people across our country who need to hear the Good News. It’s an honour to take on this role as National Director, if not slightly daunting – thankfully as a friend reminded me God is never out of his depth! I’m excited to see what God has got in store for Threshold next, how he will shape us and use us for his glory.“
Please pray with us as we continue to work hard to see our mission accomplished. We would not be able to serve those who are ignored and forgotten without you and know that God will continue to lead us into this next season of Threshold Ministries.

In Christ’s Love,
Norbert
