Erin Hodge, a twenty-something go-getter from the foggy city of Saint John, NB has caught the “non-profit bug.” With previous experience working with women and families dealing with unplanned pregnancies, Erin is now the Director of Inner City Youth Ministry, an organization that works to give children and youth formative opportunities that they may not otherwise have. Offering free hot lunch programs, recreation and mentorship support to the community, including; summer camp, youth groups, literacy programs and more, Erin is all in when it comes to her ministry.

“I’m new to the Missional Community but having a support group like this, of people with so much experience in ministry, is pretty great.”

Erin is also an Evangelist-in-Training with Threshold Ministries. “I’m new to the Missional Community but having a support group like this, of people with so much experience in ministry, is pretty great.” Seeking a community of believers that can mentor and support her was a natural step for Erin. Erin has and continues to build new friendships that are sure to nurture her ministry and personal growth as she pours out Christ’s love on the youth of Saint John.

As if her new job, community involvement and family didn’t keep her busy enough, Erin is also a Masters student at Threshold School of Ministry. Enrolled in the Master of Ministry in Cultural Engagement program, for Fall 2016, Erin is “pumped” to receive more training. “I’m really hoping that [TSoM] will help me be equipped and prepared for sustainable ministry.”

With such a big heart for those in need, it’s no wonder Erin has found her passion in the non-profit world. We’re pretty excited to see Erin help the youth in her community catch the “Jesus bug.”
