You are so faithful. Thank you for continuing to support our ministry through prayer and financial gifts. It is an honour and a privilege to have your ongoing support for this ministry that seeks to share the love of Jesus with people who have multiple challenges in their lives. I see people who, because of past and present choices, are kept imprisoned emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
I have known a similar reality in my own life at various times, even as a follower of Jesus. It is only the power and indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit that can change and transform a broken life to bring about such a beautiful change in our thinking and in our behaviours. I know for a fact that my own power or strength only leads to failure, disappointment, and emptiness!
Romans 6:23 says it in such a powerful way: “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” All of my hopeless acts without Christ lead to death, but our hope for eternity is found in Jesus! What a marvelous hope we have in Him!
Jesus gives us a new story for our future and when we surrender to Him, He creates new possibilities for our lives. I am thankful to say that Jesus is giving many people we are supporting a ‘New Story’ for their lives. One man who we are supporting has spent close to 30 years in prison and he is trusting Jesus as he rebuilds his life in the community. Another man we are helping has been using his skills and abilities to renovate a church and to establish his construction business once again. Another man who has been incarcerated for many years is working full time at a restaurant and he has such a grateful heart for all that God is doing in his life, including restoring broken relationships with his family!
These are just a few examples of how God is fulfilling the promise of His word in 2 Corinthians 5:17 as individuals surrender their lives to Jesus and trust Him for their futures. This lovely verse gives all believers hope! “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” Thank you so much for being a tangible part of these stories
through your ongoing prayer and financial support for this ministry. Through your faithfulness lives are being transformed by God’s mighty love! l am excited to say that two men we are supporting have decided to be baptized in the near future and this will be a great day for them as they continue to live out their lives for Jesus!
You are a wonderful blessing!
